Before Winter of 2015, Schlitz Audubon had a typical templated black and white newsletter common of nature centers. It did not tell the story of the amazing natural phenomena that occur on the land, or in southeastern Wisconsin. It was a missed opportunity.
All of this changed when I was given the opportunity to re-brand the organization, including our lackluster quarterly. Educational articles as well as elevated photography and engaging illustrations became the focus of each edition. I brought this vision to life with a small marketing team of two other colleagues, and we are now in our eighth year of publication.
I touch every piece of the publication, from brainstorming content, editing, occasionally contributing as a writer, as well as the entire creative process for bringing this publication to life every three months.
Photos, design, illustration, and layout all created by me.
